Want to get extra involved in the festivities? Enter the Old Shawnee Days Parade, one of the largest parades in the state of Kansas! The parade even has awards given in several categories, including Most Spirit, Best Kid’s Entry, Most Creative, Most Patriotic, Most Unique Vehicle, and Best Vehicle Group, as well as the Grand Marshall’s Award, which goes to the float that best depicts this year’s theme: “Home Grown Fun.” There is no fee to register, and you can register on-site at Staging Area E at 9:00 am on June 2nd.
