Real Bikers Wear Pink – Aug. 15

Real Bikers Wear Pink will host the 4th annual ride on Sunday, August 15, 2010. Registration and check-in will begin at 8am. The ride will begin in the parking lot of Sam’s Club in Overland Park, on 135th Street, 2 blocks west of 69 Highway. One of our sponsors, Chris Cakes, will be there serving pancakes, sausage and orange juice for all riders.

The route is approximately 100 scenic miles through Johnson County and a little piece of northern Miami County – all in Kansas. There are gas stations along the way and we’ve incorporated some of the most interesting roads in the area.

While breast cancer is more prevalent in females, it is an “equal opportunity” disease – and so is this ride. So, Ladies and Gentlemen, please join us for our fourth ride this autumn. The ride will end at Coach’s Bar & Grill – located at 148th and Metcalf.

They will donate 20% of their lunch sales to the foundation as well. Kick back, have some lunch and enjoy – you know there will be great raffle prizes, too. Your registration donation of $30 also gets you a verycollectible, commemorative Real Bikers Wear Pink T-shirt.

For the RBWP 2010 Registration Form, please visit us at www.rbwp.org! T-shirts will be provided to everyone that rides and/or donates. For day-of registrations: We will order some extra tshirts. However, if we run out that morning, we will mail your shirt to you. We plan to make t-shirts available to non-riders for a suggested minimum donation of $20. Use the posted registration form and simply put a note on it to let us know. While certainly not required, we’d like to see you in your pink for the ride!

All net proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure benefiting breast cancer research. If you might know someone who is willing to help, please let us know with an e-mail!

Severe Weather Safety Zones

Safety Zones… In case of severe weather, the safest location within your Southcreek building will always be on the ground floor at the center (such as the common hallway or the restrooms). Stay away from all glass windows and doors. Do not leave the building to seek shelter in other areas of Southcreek Office Park. If you are in your vehicle arriving to or departing from your office, exit your vehicle immediately and seek shelter within a building on the first floor, or in a low-lying ravine or ditch. Avoid seeking shelter under bridges.
