Dinosaurs Exhibit Near Southcreek Office Park

Take a trip back in time this summer at the Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice exhibit at Crown Center! This traveling interactive exhibit was created by the Minnesota Children’s Museum and offers visitors the opportunity to encounter realistic and touchable dinosaurs that roamed the earth 70 million years ago, including a Triceratops and a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Trolley Run near Southcreek Overland Park

Come help support the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired (CCVI) by participating in the 24th Trolley Run! This run, which got its name because the course follows the old trolley tracks, is the biggest timed four-mile run in the country. CCVI is an organization that serves over 350 children with different visual disabilities a year, helping them “to reach their highest potential in the sighted world.” Here are some details about the race:

Where: Race starts at 75th and Wornall Rd.

Race Day Schedule:

Participants run in waves assigned based on what they think their speed will be and designated by different color bandanas. The course goes through Waldo and Brookside neighborhoods to the Plaza, and transportation from the Plaza to the starting line will be available.

2nd Annual Greater Kansas City Myasthenia Gravis Walk, Run and Roll Near Southcreek Overland Park

Enjoy the beautiful spring weather by participating in Kansas City’s 2nd annual Myasthenia Gravis Walk, Run, and Roll. The purpose of the race is to raise awareness about Myasthenia Gravis, an autoimmune, neuromuscular disease, and to raise money for those in Kansas City with this condition.
