Grant’s Cause 5K Near Southcreek Office Park

Join the Grant’s Cause 5K for Spina Bifida on Saturday, September 2nd!  All proceeds from this 5K run or walk will benefit the Gillespie family, whose unborn son, Grant, is already battling Spina Bifida, which requires expensive healthcare.  Check out the website to learn more about Grant’s Cause and register for the race.  Here is some more information about this event:

Martini Madness: The Olive Run Near Southcreek Office Park

It’s never too late to start running, as demonstrated by Olive Drew, a retired teacher who took up running at the age of 80 and continued to run until she was 93!  The proceeds from Martini Madness: The Olive Run will fund scholarships in memory of Olive for students in her district (District #313) who would like to pursue a career in education.  Olive loved children, running, teaching, and having a good time.  Here are some more details about the race in her honor:
